Spain: 5 Reasons Why Majorca Is A Perfect Holiday Destination

The island of Majorca (Mallorca) lying off the east coast of Spain is the largest in the Balearic group of islands. Majorca started becoming a tourist destination in the 1960s and it was the first place I was taken on holiday when around 4 or 5 years old. I remember it like it was yesterday because I loved it so much. My folks must have loved it too, as we continued to visit annually throughout my formative years. Having not visited for many years I returned in my mid twenties on a girls holiday where, admittedly I saw very little of the beautiful Balearic island. However, what I did see relit my love for Majorca and highlighted the many reasons why it really is the perfect holiday destination. The list is not in any order other than the order that we did them. Ranking them would have simply been too hard, they were all amazing experiences for different reasons.  Continue reading “Top 13 Travel Moments of 2016”

Alicante is a city and port in Spain on the Costa Blanca. Mr ESLT and I spent a whole week there seeing what it had to offer and by the end of our stay we were more than pleasantly surprised.

Spain: The Birthday Boy at The BernabĂ©u Stadium, Madrid

As soon as I booked flights to Madrid, I started researching cool things to do in the city. I wanted to find things to do that Mr ESLT would love – the trip was to celebrate his birthday, after all. I know he loves a football stadium tour, having previously done them at both Camp Nou Stadium in Barcelona and the San Siro Stadium in Milan. So when I saw that you could take a tour of the Santiago BernabĂ©u Stadium, I knew I was onto a winner! Now, I’ll be honest, I can write what I know about football on the back of my hand, so, I prior to our trip, I really didn’t know that the BernabĂ©u is actually home to one of the biggest football teams in the world – Real Madrid!
