Europe: Our 5 Favourite Beach Destinations

It’s that time of year again! Yes, it’s time to plan a summer holiday. Being the over planners that we are, we have already got ours in the bag. July will see us heading The Balkans – Montenegro, Croatia and Albania to be precise. We are of course looking forward to exploring the cities, towns and villages of these countries, learning about the culture, eating the local food and drinking the local beer but we are also looking forward to lying on the beaches we find along the way. We traverse the world, sometimes at lightning speed, therefore when we get the opportunity to lay back on a golden sandy beach and soak up the sun’s rays, we grasp it with both hands. Spain: If You Are Looking For Luxury, Head To Ibiza

I remember the excitement as I packed my suitcase, ready to head to the airport and hit Ibiza with a group of my best friends. I was 21 and a visit to ‘the white isle’ was a rite of passage. When I thought of Ibiza, images of the ultimate party island sprang to mind – hours of excessive drinking, booze cruises and dancing till dawn in some of the world’s most famous superclubs and guess what? That’s exactly what it was because that was exactly what I went looking for. Sail The Mediterranean, See The Sights and Make Some Cruise Mates

We love Spain and have visited many times over the years, in fact, a visit to the island of Majorca with my parents is one of my first ever travel memories. Spain is the perfect summer holiday destination in southwestern Europe and in a prime location in the Mediterranean. It offers sunshine, friendly locals, great food, history, culture and the coastal towns offer crystal clear waters. It is perfect for all the family, from the young to the young at heart. However, it is important to remember that Spain incorporates not only the main land but the Balearic and Canary Islands too.
